Eco3
Ecodesign. Impeccably dressed with a wicked eye for design Mark Shayler. Can both reduce your products packaging and make it prettier at the same time! Like Bectel, for example, there’ll be more space for more of your product on the shelf so you’ll probably sell more on top of saving on inputs. Oh, and his business cards are stickers on scraps or old train tickets! How creative carbon cool is that?!
Live off the grid in a gardenARK
Had it with your electric bills? Then live off the grid and still be at home in your very own Garden Ark! A simple unit can give you the extra space you need, and if you’ve just bought that city escape plot of land out in Somwhereshire then have a bespoke Ark made. The sheeps wool and vegetation roof will insulate you in the winter and cool you in the summer. The round shape is designed to make people think about what they really need in their living space. It can come with wind and solar power options, as desired. It costs from £8000 to £18000 depending on the size.
CDC Climate and SWF Ltd. present an International REI for Carbon Traders

The french bank Caisse des Dépôts Climat, and British IT company SFW have collaborated to create an internationally aggregated carbon trading platform. SFW runs GRETA, the UK’s Kyoto gHg registries and Caisse des Dépôts Climat runs France’s Siringis Kyoto registry. The REI (registry electronic interface) platform will allow users to trade carbon standards without having to login to each individual registry. Eventually the platform will be linked to all other international registries around the world, both Kyoto and voluntary carbon standard registries but for now is only connected to the Siringis and the VCS registries. The platform will allow users not only to access international carbon markets trading but to view all the accounts they hold in every registry around the world, view all incoming and outgoing payments. It’s not free to use however, users will pay based upon volume of transactions. It’s already up and running!
Keep goats and other grazing animals, right in the heart of the city! Hertalan UK

Hertalan will put a green roof on your house to insulate you in the winter, cool you in the summer, and allow you extra grazing room to keep goats and other grazing animals in small garden spaces. Exclusive to Hertalan is a waterproof rubber sheet and root barrier that’s 1.2 milimeters thick, layed with loose layers: mix of recycled brick and compost, a filtration mat, on a drainage board to capture rainfall (captures 50-80% of rainfall for times of drought). It can be planted with any number of drought resistant plants from mosses to herbs to chives. Having a green roof will cool (or insulate) your home or office (it’s ideal for cities) an extra one to two degrees which means you will save on heating and cooling costs! Hertalan charges £100 per square meter. The company is Dutch and UK based.
Green Recycling Vehicles: coming to a location near you!

Ever irritated that you can’t find a recycling bin the capital when you want one? Or are you trying to get your business noticed for being green? Well, SeymourGreen has the solution for you: SeymourGreen will place one of their electric and electronic recycling vehicles with your logo on the side in a busy bit of London. Not only does the recycling allow interaction with the public, but the vehicles incorporates bluetooth wireless technology to alert you to it’s presence (and it’s sponsorship). The bluetooth can also be used to pass on promotions for your business. It doesn’t cost a bundle to sponsor either: they are tax free, aren’t charged parking, and pay no congestion charge because they are completely electric! SeymourGreen has a fleet of 10 at the moment and aims for 100 by the end of 2011. And for every 1000 followers they get on Twitter, they will plant 100 trees.
